A wonderful friend has commissioned this painting for her dear sister. It was so fun to paint and I love doing commissions, because I often end up painting things I never would have done and it opens up new creative horizons for me. Thanks Karen!

Latest Portrait

I just finished a portrait of my friends, Rod and Keli for their wedding gift.
I gave it to her last night at her shower and I think she really loved it!
This was my first attempt at a portrait with acrylic on watercolor and I really enjoy this medium. I thinned out the acrylic alot with water for glazing and then used it more thickly for coverage. I also used some colored pencils for accents.
