Busy with Thanksgiving Sales and Art Stuff!!

Hi Everyone!! Here are pictures of what I've been doing on my 5 day vacation at home (happy dance) I LOVE being at home!! Eugenio(hubby) had a nice thanksgiving together and went shopping early the next day!I recently got inspired by my rose garden to start painting roses in watercolor again. I had never been happy with them in the past and I've been doing other things in acrylic for a while now. It seems I've forgotten everything about watercolor!! It truly is a technical medium!! I have been struggling with the backgrounds and the latest work in progress seems okay but why do backgrounds in watercolor seem so hard all of the sudden!!! I got so frustrated with the other ones I almost gave up and went back to acrylic...

Thanks Toni!!She gave me the idea of mounting my old art class artwork on painted canvases (thanks to Michaels). I wanted to see them everyday....Also, I rigged up an old piece of wood from an old computer desk on top of some storage boxes to make myself a little studio desk...I love it. Now I can leave my mess out instead of always having to clean up my art stuff off of the kitchen table. It's so fun to go work there now.

At Michael's, canvas was 40% off, plus I had a 25% off coupon and I got a great deal on all of these!!! (happy dance)

We bought a new chandelier for our dining area!! We love the wrought iron look and the warm brownish color goes with everything in our house. There is the picture of the old one that the builders put in, in the trash. We definitely needed to upgrade!

So we bought a new grill at home depot- regularly 449. we bought it for 249!!
Nice Grill!
